Cenergistic, a national energy conservation consultant founded in 1986 in Wichita Falls, Texas, is now based in Dallas, Texas. Since inception, the company has provided services to K12 districts, universities, health care organizations and local governments in Texas and across the country to help them reduce energy costs. To do this, Cenergistic employs a conservation program that involves technical and behavioral strategies, software tools, and sustainability expertise. This allows clients to reduce energy consumption and related utility spending.
Project Description & History
Cenergistic employs Energy Specialists to closely analyze the energy use of their clients’ buildings. Guided by Cenergistic engineers and experts, these specialists make recommendations and train staff to reduce waste and conserve energy. Cenergistic uses several software tools to help optimize all energy-using systems. These tools analyze energy use data, target areas of wasted energy for improvement, and simulate energy-saving changes to buildings. This allows clients and building occupants to make energy saving changes tailored to them, without compromising on comfort inside the building.
Community Impact
Cenergistic has helped more than 220 Texas clients save more than $650 million in hidden electricity, natural gas and water savings, and those numbers keep increasing. On average, Cenergistic’s clients save 20–30 percent annually in utility spending. To achieve this requires no capital investment and no sacrifice in the comfort and quality of building environments. Clients often receive Energy Star building certifications because of their energy savings. In fact, of the total 2,853 ENERGY STAR Building Certifications earned for Texas K12 buildings, Cenergistic’s Texas clients have earned 2,238 (78.4%) of those.
