Green Hope Project

Location: El Paso, Texas

Located in El Paso, Green Hope Project (GHP) advances environmentalism through community partnerships, education, and the arts. GHP works on environmental curriculum and planning materials for local school districts and park recreational centers. GHP also uses art to communicate their message on preserving our natural resources by organizing and funding mural projects about threatened and endangered species as well as holding recycled art workshops and contests, including “Trash to Treasure.” GHP’s Annual Environmental Summit announces art contest winners, and it features speakers from architects to government leaders, like US Congresswoman Veronica Escobar.
