Coastal Conservation Association – Texas

The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) is a non-profit marine conservation organization, comprised of 17 coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic seaboard and the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of the Coastal Conservation Association is to advise and educate the public on the conservation of marine resources, as well as conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of these coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.

Since its inception, CCA has been an active participant in state and federal fisheries management issues. CCA and its state organizations are engaged in hundreds of different programs and projects related to conservation at all times. These programs and projects include scientific studies, scholarship funding, artificial reefs, hatcheries, contaminate studies, hydrology studies, freshwater inflows, and support of local enforcement agencies and others.
