The Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University – Kingsville is a leading wildlife research organization in Texas, whose mission is to provide science-based information for enhancing the conservation and management of wildlife in South Texas and related environment.

By fostering relationships with landowners to conduct research, the abiding respect for private landowners and the work they have done to protect wildlife and habitat is the hallmark of the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute and its faculty. The Institute works in conjunction with hunters, wildlife managers, conservationists, and policy makers to research, manage, and conserve game and non-game species. Institute faculty and students focus on several broad research areas, including: wildlife biology, ecology, habitat management and restoration, and South Texas native plants.
