Blackland Prairie Raptor Center

Founded in 2004, the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (BPRC) in Brockdale Park, Texas is dedicated to educating North Texans about birds of prey. Through education and exposure with the facility’s fourteen education raptors, BPRC aims to help guests understand the positive impacts that birds of prey have on the environment. Licensed by Texas Parks and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, BPRC also rehabilitates 600-800 injured birds annually from North Texas and Oklahoma. Blackland Prairie Raptor Center promotes the conservation of birds of prey in Texas, and through their efforts, they successfully bring conservation and the community together.
