Houston Wilderness invites all individuals and corporate groups to volunteer for the Port of Houston TREES program. PoH TREES program is a multi-year collaborative project facilitated by Houston Wilderness that utilizes comprehensive tree inventory and large-scale tree plantings along the Houston Ship Channel to protect and restore riparian habitat as well as providing ecosystem services that combat climate change and improve the health of all Houstonians. Through the planting of the 14 Native Super Tree Species Houston Wilderness is helping to implement the Resilient Houston’s goal of 4.6 million trees by 2030.
