Join this virtual webinar with Jonathan Lowell, offered twice on March 1st, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm Central.
By 2050, the population of Texas is predicted to double with resources and critical infrastructure expected to experience increased strain due to prolonged droughts, record-breaking heat waves, and destructive floods. In response, the University of Texas at Austin convened Planet Texas 2050, a research grand challenge focused on these looming realities of climate change and population influx in the state of Texas. In this webinar Planet Texas 2050 staff and researchers will tell the story of the past, present, and future of the initiative as well as provide some specific findings from an ongoing project that uses the method of “photo voice” to engage youth in the process of creating more healthy environments and pathways to green and just futures. See this event page for more background information on Planet Texas and the webinar registration information.
