This event, benefiting the Katy Prairie Conservancy, brings together individuals of all ages to support KPC’s mission to preserve coastal prairie in the Gulf Coast Region for current and future generations. Picnic on a nearby prairie, at a park, or in your own backyard! Don’t forget to take a photo of your picnic experience and post it on social media.

Katy Prairie Conservancy is a Texan by Nature Conservation Partner. KPC was founded in 1992 and their mission is to protect a sustainable portion of the Katy Prairie for the benefit of its wildlife and all Texans forever. Katy Prairie Conservancy protects the land through conservation agreements, land sales, and land donations. As the largest local land conservation organization, by acreage, in southeast Texas, KPC now protects over 24,000 acres of coastal prairie in Texas, nearly 5,000 acres in Harris, Ft. Bend, and Waller counties, and an additional 6,005 acres in Matagorda and Jackson counties.
