Join us at the Historic Voelcker Homestead to see a live milking demonstration with the Southwest Dairy Farmers.
We’ll also have a lesson on Corn as a food and how it’s shelled! Also, take the time to tour the Butterfly Learning Center and Children’s Vegetable Garden, and join in games, activities, and crafts for the whole family!
Before Phil Hardberger Park became a city natural area, it had a rich history in agriculture as a dairy farm! Come see the old stone house and little red dairy barn that housed the Voelcker family and their livestock. This agricultural and historical celebration returns to the park to bring a rare chance to see the homestead full of life again, and to learn about where our food comes from! We hope to see you out!
*For folks and families interested in the history of the Voelcker Farm, and interested in dairy and agriculture!
