Join the National Wildlife Federation as we delve into how to bring teaching outside for young children even when the environment may be a bit… hostile (thanks Texas). With a lens on early childhood, we will look at how and why outdoor learning benefits students, how to conduct a risk assessment, what to do with inclement weather, and real life examples of wonderful activities used to enhance the learning experiences of young children outdoors. Led by NWF’s Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) and Texas Education teams, this interactive workshop aims to portray the importance of outdoor learning for young children and equip providers with useful tools to lead their littles in nature-based education. We look forward to learning with you!
