I’m excited to announce a new era of Taking Care of Texas: We are Texan by Nature.

Our new name Texan by Nature speaks directly to the key ingredient of Texan-led conservation –Texans. While we are still all about taking care of our great state, our new name reflects the crucial role that people–Texans, specifically–play in our vision for conservation, and how important our natural world is in shaping who we are as Texans.
While our name has changed, the values behind the name have not. We remain focused on spurring Texan-led conservation that produces tangible benefits for our people with the vision that all Texans will share a conservation ethic that ensures Texas’ economic vitality and heritage by conserving our natural resources for generations to come.
Over the last 18 months, our leadership and staff have invested heavily in refining our strategy so that we can deepen our impact on Texas’ land, water and wildlife.
In October, we’ll offer a series of events and communications that will announce our new program offerings. Our new program offerings focus on engaging Texans in stewardship that ensures the prosperity of Texas and Texans by conserving natural resources. Our new programs engage Texans in conservation projects where they live, work, worship and play because conservation is good business and enhances quality of life for all Texans.
We hope that you will lend us your support and invest in our efforts.

Executive Director
